The Finance Systems Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Department’s financial management systems, with a focus on TechnologyOne. This position is responsible for delivering technical support, managing system upgrades, and ensuring data integrity through validation and reconciliation processes. The role contributes to financial systems projects and supports compliance with legislative and audit requirements, including the Financial Management Act. Additionally, the role provides expert advice, develops user reporting, documentation and training materials, and delivers system training to stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of financial systems, data governance, and audit standards, along with the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions. This is a permanent full-time opportunity. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12months from the initial date of appointment. To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate (requirements) : Demonstrated knowledge and experience in an integrated financial system, such as TechnologyOne would be desirable with an ability to apply lateral and creative thinking to generate innovative solutions within a complex financial environment. Demonstrated experience in financial system data integration, including data extraction, analysis and interpretation to support reporting, reconciliation and strategic decision making. Knowledge of financial reporting tools and technologies such as XLOne, Structure Query Language (SQL) and Power Bl. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, deliver training and produce clear and comprehensive documentation.
