An established Medical Specialist Practice of over 18 years in FNQ is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable & efficient Junior Medical Receptionist to work Mondays to Fridays (full‑time basis). Remuneration will depend on the level of skills and experience of the candidate. Prior experience in medical reception, medical administration, dental reception or pharmaceutical industry will be highly regarded. High school leavers may also be considered. Key Responsibilities Reception duties General clerical support duties Attending to patient enquiries Patient bookings Liaison with Health Funds and Medicare Liaison with doctors and hospital staff Payments handling Health Fund and Medicare billings Debt collection Essential Skills / Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Strong time‑management skills; ability to multi‑task efficiently and calmly under pressure High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel). Medical software experience is highly desirable Great attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Understanding of and commitment to principles of confidentiality Knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience in a medical/healthcare environment is desirable.
