Product Development Technician

Limited, importer and distributor of world leading in-car Navigation and Audio Visual entertainment products, is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to join its Head Office team as: Key Features Engaging and Diverse Role Exciting Automotive Aftermarket Industry Creative role to build expertise and skill in Product Development You will effectively engage with the engineering team, as well as the sales and marketing team, by contributing on key team projects, as well as delivering on assigned project work. Your key tasks will include product design and product development, including concept design, 3D CAD design, prototyping, preparing CAD for tooling and product testing. Your ability to learn quickly to provide concise, high quality product support and product technical information to internal members and external stakeholders is essential. From time to time you will provide support with marketing projects such as events and assist with the facilitation and design of product demonstration displays. Fundamental to this role is your avid interest in industrial design. You will have beginner/intermediate 3D CAD design skills with experience using Solidworks or similarly design software. You will be technology savvy and your strong interest in the automotive industry and audio visual entertainment products will provide a distinct advantage. Your ability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously is imperative. You will offer a high degree of written, communication and literacy skills. Above all, you are an aspiring individual that will thrive in a team environment and have a genuine desire to learn, grow, achieve and contribute as a team player. Pre-requisites for this role Drivers license and vehicle. Strong interest in cars, technology products and audio visual equipment. Creative mindset and possess a passion for industrial design. Beginner 3D CAD design skills; experience in Solidworks or similar will be a distinct advantage. Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail. Precise and articulate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to build mutual and respectful relationships. Strong self‑management skills and being able to work to tight deadlines. Excellent drive and initiative, proactive 'can do' attitude and a desire to learn and grow within the company. This is a full‑time position, working from our Hallam office from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. #J-18808-Ljbffr
