Property Manager Assistant/PM in Training Island Sands Asset Management – Gladstone QLD Being a boutique property management agency in Tannum Sands we deliver an exceptional level of property management services to our clients in the Gladstone Region. Last year we won the Small Agency of the Year at the REIQ Excellence Awards for 2024 Role Overview The Assistant Property Manager (PM in Training) role is designed to provide high-level operational support across the property management function while developing the skills required to progress into full portfolio management. This position delivers task-based assistance in leasing, inspections, maintenance coordination, tenant liaison, move-in and vacate processes, and administrative duties. Over the first six months, the role focuses on learning, competency development, and supporting the Property Manager and Team Leader. Once capability is demonstrated, the PM in Training will gradually assume core property management responsibilities under supervision. Key Responsibilities Leasing, inspections, maintenance coordination, tenant liaison, move-in and vacate processes Administrative duties supporting daily operations Learning and developing competency in portfolio management under supervision Experience & Knowledge (Desirable) Experience in property management, leasing, or administrative support Strong understanding of residential tenancy legislation and compliance Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills Proficiency in Property Me or similar property management software (preferred) Understanding of local rental market trends and tenant behaviour Qualifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory) Year 12 completion or equivalent Certificate III or IV in Real Estate Practice desirable Real Estate Certificate of Registration (essential or willingness to obtain) Licenses Valid Driver’s Licence (essential) What We Offer 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday Full Time Flexible working hours may be negotiated No weekends or public holiday work Company car available during your working hours Highly experienced team members willing to share their skills Ongoing industry training and conferences Opportunity to participate in national property management networking Technology and software systems designed to streamline your tasks Well operated and tidy residential portfolio We will contact successful applicants only to arrange a suitable time for an interview.
