Policy Officer, Strategic Policy & Evidence The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused onsupporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can; whether through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact withcommunicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health andwellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. About the role: The Policy Officer will support implementation plan development and consumer engagement in response to the Rapid Review of Assisted Reproductive Technology and In Vitro Fertilisation Regulation and Accreditation in Australia (the Review). These are nationally significant projects with Victoria leading the implementation planning and consumer engagement projects for States and Territories. The position will work both as part of a team, with responsibility for leading key streams of work, and independently. About you: Knowledge and experience in government, health systems and/or health service delivery would be desirable, with skills and experience in policy development and implementation. Experience in the analysis, interpretation, visualisation, presentation and communication of quantitative data to a range of audiences. Experience using Victorian government administrative data is desirable (coding experience would be a bonus). A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health economics/economics, social policy or health administration would be desirable.
