With almost 50,000 families participating from across Victoria, GenV is uniquely designed to observe child and parent health and wellbeing over time, and test new services and policy implementation at scale. We’re seeking a skilled and strategic Policy Officer to drive high‑quality policy analysis, strategic engagement and advocacy that will help bring GenV’s vision to life. About The Role As GenV’s Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in translating evidence into influence. Drawing on your strong understanding of Commonwealth and Victorian government policy landscapes, you will: Deliver clear, evidence‑based policy analysis, briefs, position papers and submissions Provide expert advice to support advocacy activities, strategic engagement and major funding proposals Identify and lead strategic opportunities to engage with government, agencies and the not‑for‑profit sector Support GenV Directors in high‑level advocacy efforts Contribute to major business cases, tenders, grants and other funding applications Working closely with GenV’s Policy and Equity Lead, Stream Leads, Directors and the wider team, you will also collaborate with colleagues across the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and with external stakeholders to advance GenV’s priorities. This role is a part time position at 3 days per week (22.8 hours).
