The Opportunity KBR is seeking an experienced and autonomous Cost Analyst to play a critical role in supporting the transition and retirement of the C-130J-30 fleet. If you excel in complex cost modelling, enjoy influencing strategic decisions, and thrive in a Defence environment—this role is for you. Responsibilities Conduct complex pricing and cost analysis, including Annual Cost Reviews. Develop cost estimates to support current and future sustainment budgets. Lead detailed financial investigations that influence strategic decisions. Participate in contract negotiations and change proposals. Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior leadership. Break down TLS pricing structures using existing data sources. Support the 2026 Periodic Cost Review and contribute to Contract Reform. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including CFA, DFG, and NGA. Participate in Phase Out Planning workshops. As the ideal candidate you will bring Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability Strong analytical, visual data interpretation, and problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Experience in Defence or complex commercial cost analysis Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar CPA/CA/CIMA highly regarded; procurement/contracting training advantageous Defence sustainment or TLS contract knowledge Familiarity with contract reform and value-for-money assessments Experience in procedural documentation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
