Rare coastal leadership role by Maroubra Beach. Lead Maroubra Neighbourhood Children’s Centre (MNCC), a 28‑place, community‑owned not‑for‑profit, parent‑led since the early 1980s. Every child is known and every dollar reinvested into educators, spaces and resources. About the opportunity Steward high‑quality, play‑based programs aligned with the EYLF and NQF, including our Beach Kindy Keep safety and wellbeing front and centre: supervision, arrivals/departures, sleep/rest, medication, nutrition and facilities Lead people and operations: staffing, coaching, rostering, enrolments and compliance Partner with families and the volunteer Parent Management Committee on strategy, culture and transparent budgeting Honour community: embed First Nations perspectives and welcome many cultures and home languages You’ll bring Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care; a degree is welcomed 3–5+ years’ centre leadership/management with strong NQF/NQS, EYLF and regulatory knowledge Inclusive, community‑minded leadership and clear communication Proven financial acumen (budgets, cash flow, occupancy planning, grants/fundraising) and data informed decision‑making Collegial leadership style; team building, coaching and clear communication A hands‑on, proactive approach to planning, risk management and continuous improvement of the centre NSW Working with Children Check; Australian work rights; current first aid/CPR/anaphylaxis/asthma and child protection training (or willingness to obtain) Prioritise children over profits: a genuine not‑for‑profit centre where every dollar is returned to children, educators and programs High community ownership and engagement; your leadership shapes a service that reflects local needs and values Nature‑rich environment and a dedicated, warm team Application Questions Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
