This is a permanent, full‑time role where you’ll play an integral role in shaping the future of our business by preparing competitive, high‑quality estimates and securing key projects. Responsibilities As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and high‑quality estimates to support the successful delivery of electrical projects. Your key tasks will include: Estimating & Costing Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and documents to determine project scope. Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Implementing tendering procedures in collaboration with senior management. Tendering & Proposal Development Developing competitive bid proposals that align with project specifications, timelines, and budget requirements. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes while ensuring quality and compliance. Meeting client deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Working closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between estimating and project delivery. Identifying new business opportunities and leveraging industry contacts to grow the company’s project pipeline. Capabilities, Skills & Experience Essential: Minimum 2 years of electrical estimating experience in the contracting industry Experience estimating projects up to and exceeding $2M Strong electrical trade knowledge and understanding of installation processes Working knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and Building Codes Proven ability to consult with clients and navigate tendering processes Excellent time‑management skills – efficient, independent, and calm under pressure Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment Strong analytical skills to review and interpret project drawings/specifications Proficiency in Excel and Groundplan Desirable: Experience with industrial or government sector projects Knowledge of other estimating software or project management tools Qualifications Ideally, you have an electrical trade background with a solid understanding of on‑site electrical installations.
