Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Safety Sciences CQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences is seeking an experienced academic to support the growth and development of our distinctive Safety Sciences courses. The role involves delivering and developing curriculum across multiple study levels, researching safety sciences, and engaging industry stakeholders. Employment Continuing, Full‑Time Location: Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Townsville, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Work From Home (negotiable) Lecturer (Level B) – Total Remuneration $134,885 to $157,870 pa (salary $113,980 – $133,403 pa + 17 % super & leave loading) Senior Lecturer (Level C) – Total Remuneration $162,470 to $184,987 pa (salary $137,290 – $156,317 pa + 17 % super & leave loading) One position available. Appointment level will be based on attributes & experience of the successful candidate. Please indicate your preferred level in your application. Develop and review curriculum across study levels, employing innovative digital and multimodal approaches. Conduct research that makes a meaningful impact in safety sciences and integrate findings into teaching. Engage with industry partners to support applied learning and research opportunities. Contribute to CQUniversity’s renowned Safety Sciences programs, including Occupational Health & Safety and Fatigue Risk Management. Position Requirements – Lecturer Completed postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Safety Sciences. Demonstrated senior‑level industry experience in Safety Sciences. Expertise in risk management, safety systems or Occupational Health and Safety law. Proven ability to teach and supervise at undergraduate & postgraduate levels, including curriculum design & multimodal delivery. Track record of applied research in Safety Science and integration of outcomes into teaching practice. Additional Requirements – Senior Lecturer Completed (or near completion) PhD in Safety Sciences or closely related discipline. Proven team‑leadership experience.
