Solutions Architecture Manager, Public Sector Federal & NSD Team Description AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) drives revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers, including the public sector. The Solutions Architecture team at AWS helps customers implement cloud technologies, partnering with internal teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems. As Solutions Architecture Manager, you will lead a team of experienced architects, shape strategy, and maintain the ongoing technical relationship with Australian Government customers. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of solutions architects focused on Federal Government and NSD customers. Drive innovation by identifying new concepts and technologies to support customer missions and outcomes. Partner with internal AWS teams to bring the best of AWS to each customer. Help shape the strategic technology roadmap for customer organizations. Develop each Solution Architect’s professional and technical skillset. Support the AWS business cycle and execute back‑office functions as required. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise IT application work, including at least 2 years of hands‑on software development or DevOps engineering. 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end‑to‑end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing. 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions on any cloud service provider (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.). Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer‑facing roles. Experience managing teams. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernising customer requirements to the cloud. Experience in a technical role within a sales organization. Experience leading or developing high‑quality, enterprise‑scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle. Additional Requirements Candidate must hold or be able to acquire an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
