Work underneath one of Melbournes iconic landmarks Flexibility to work a 7-day week rotating roster including nights and weekends Conveniently located near public transport About the Role Join our team as a Kitchen Steward where youll support the Chief Steward in maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen areas in our venues. This role will be responsible for contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchens whilst ensuring a high standard of hygiene and food safety is constantly being met. Hours of work may be varied including evenings and weekends. Casual position. Band 1.0.01 $24.94 per hour plus 25% casual loading and superannuation. To be successful in this position you will have : Experience in a similar role within a dynamic environment The ability to thrive in a changing and high paced environment A positive attitude and great communication skills An understanding of food safety standards The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently Availability to work mornings afternoons or evenings on any day of the week (highly desirable) A relevant Tertiary / TAFE Cookery Qualification (desirable) For further information please read Position Description - Kitchen About the Team The Kitchen Brigade is responsible for the food delivery within Arts Centre Melbourne which contributes as a major driver of revenue. The kitchen delivers a culinary experience on a multi-platform stage catering for the culinary novice the theatre-going crowds world stage performers and a vast array of local and international dignitaries.
