About the Role As a Senior Utility Locator , you'll lead high‑quality locating work across a mix of commercial, civil and infrastructure projects. You'll work independently and alongside our survey and CCTV teams, using a combination of EMF, GPR, concrete scanning and other advanced locating methods. What You'll Do Accurately locate underground services using EMF, GPR and concrete scanning Interpret BYDA plans, construction drawings and aerial imagery Complete mapping, reports and documentation to AS5488 standards Communicate findings clearly to clients and site teams Lead small–medium jobs and contribute to larger multi‑discipline projects Champion safety, quality and professionalism at every stage About You We're looking for someone who brings technical strength, good judgement and pride in their work. CertLoc (DBYD Certified Locator) – minimum 3 years certified 5+ years utility locating industry experience Strong understanding of AS5488 Physically capable and comfortable with fieldwork Construction White Card Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy Highly Regarded RIW, WPCG, ESI Gas test atmospheres Confined space entry Workers on Foot Surveying background or interest in utility mapping Who We Are — ALS Over 30 years of experience in asset detection and subsurface utility services Accredited team working to the highest standards Specialists in utility locating, CCTV, water jetting, concrete scanning, leak detection, NDD and utility surveying Known for accuracy, reliability and strong client relationships Operating across Greater Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and the Central Coast How to Apply If you're ready for a better opportunity and a better work environment, apply today with your resume and cover letter via LinkedIn, or email directly to Please note: Applicants must have unrestricted working rights to be considered.
