Freight Sorter – WAR Join our established, fun, and driven team in a full-time permanent position at our Paget Depot . As a Freight Sorter you will be focused on accurately sorting general freight to the correct destinations while handling it with care. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking to start their transport career. With support, growth and development from the leadership team and internal trainer, there is unlimited opportunity to progress your career. As a Freight Sorter You Will Follow a stable work roster of Monday to Friday | 7am start Safet Manual handling freight ensuring all freight has zero damages. Handloading freight into vans, to ensure timely deliveries for all customer Palletize carton freight and wrapping pallets. Ensure all items are labeled correctly and complete reporting for any damaged or unmarked items Assist with securing freight in trucks, closing gates & pulling curtains on trucks, as well as various duties to ensure smooth operation of depot What You Will Get Full Time Permanent & Leave Entitlements Weekly pay with overtime penalties daily Job specific training with inhouse trainers and ongoing support Overtime/weekend work available with paid penalties with weekly pay Opportunity to upskill and gain additional licenses (Truck/Forklift/Cert III) Access to a referral program (Bonus for referring new team members) Qualifications Willingness to learn in a team environment Commitment to uphold all safe work procedures and workplace policies Forklift Licence (desirable, but we are willing to train and give the right person opportunity to grow) Followmont Transport is a passionate family-owned business 100% dedicated to service and maintain a hands-on relationship with customers, our people, and suppliers.
