Parcel Sorter/Forklift Operator

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Forklift Operator/ Parcel Sorter to join the team at our Mackay Branch. This role involves pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons, loading and unloading of trucks and running freight. A strong knowledge of Mackay and surrounding areas is highly advantageous. Responsibilities Pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons. Loading and unloading of trucks and running freight. Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all documentation associated as required. Communicate with team and supervisors to meet agreed schedules, and to raise issues related to processes, safety and operations. Qualifications & Requirements Excellent attitude, good work ethic and reliability. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team. High level of physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting, including lifting up to 25 kg. Minimum 1‑2 years of transport industry experience preferred. Valid Forklift licence is essential. Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations. Great local knowledge of Mackay and surrounding areas. Ability to work unsupervised.
