Design, Code & Deploy Crypto Strategies Across Global Venues Trade Across Centralized & Decentralized Markets Direct PnL Ownership – High-Autonomy Role A leading systematic trading firm is seeking a Crypto Trader to join its expanding digital assets team in Sydney. With a strong technology backbone and a flat, execution-focused culture, the firm trades a diverse range of liquid markets using fully automated strategies – including across the fast-evolving CeFi and DeFi crypto landscape. In this role, you’ll be responsible for researching, building, and deploying systematic trading strategies across both centralised exchanges (such as Binance, OKX, and Coinbase) and decentralised protocols (including Uniswap, Curve, and GMX). This is a hands‑on position where Python coding is a core requirement – from backtesting hypotheses to writing production‑grade trading logic. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of strategies, continuously monitoring and refining them based on performance data and market dynamics. Your work will span directional trading, arbitrage, and liquidity provisioning strategies, with a focus on speed, scalability, and alpha preservation. A deep understanding of crypto market microstructure – including order book dynamics, execution slippage, and latency – is essential, alongside working familiarity with smart contracts, on‑chain liquidity, and gas optimisation techniques. Success in this role demands a proven track record of deploying profitable strategies in live markets, along with the ability to adapt quickly to new protocols, evolving infrastructure, and shifting liquidity conditions. You’ll collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers in a tight‑knit team, sharing ideas and iterating rapidly in production.
