Integration Developer Join DWS as an API Integration Developer for a major application and platform modernisation project, part of an enterprise-wide digital transformation program. You will design, develop and secure scalable microservices and REST APIs using Kong API Gateway and Node.js/Java, applying best practices in integration design and security (OAuth2, JWT). Engagement Details Type : Max Term Length : Initially up to 6 months, extensions possible Start : Immediate (max 2 weeks’ notice) Location : Sydney – working from both Parramatta and Macquarie Park sites Style : Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office (mix of both locations) Rate : up to $190,000 (inc super), depending on experience Key Responsibilities • Create secure, scalable microservices and REST APIs that integrate internal enterprise systems with external platforms.• Apply integration patterns, API versioning, and security standards such as OAuth2 and JWT.• Deliver high‑availability services and optimise API performance.• Manage the full API lifecycle, ensuring performance, reliability and maintainability. Skills & Experience Experience working on government or public‑sector projects. Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs using Kong API Gateway and Node.js/Java frameworks. Skilled at designing reusable integration patterns, implementing API versioning, and enforcing security standards. Hands‑on expertise with OAuth2 and JWT for secure authentication and authorisation. Proven ability to deliver scalable, secure APIs and integrations between enterprise systems and external platforms. Solid understanding of API lifecycle management, performance optimisation and high‑availability best practices.
