The clinic is a 24-hour multi-disciplinary emergency and referral hospital in the heart of Melbourne, Australia. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Manager to join our dynamic team in a frontline leadership and management role. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Emergency & Critical Care Head of Department to help lead and develop the ECC service. The role incorporates clinical responsibilities as well as management of the department and veterinary ECC team. About the role : As the ECC Veterinary Manager you would work closely with and support the Head of ECC in the administration and management of the ECC department. The role involves team development and support, including roster and leave management, liaising with clients, referring vets and hospital staff members, as well as clinical work. The goal of this position is to facilitate and maintain the highest standards of ECC / ICU care, support and nurture your ECC team and contribute to all aspects of ECC workflow in a supportive environment. Who we are looking for : Must have : A veterinary degree registrable in Victoria. A proven history of leading a team of veterinarians in a senior veterinary capacity. Competence with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Commitment to being a team player, good communicator and contributing to a positive workplace environment. Desirable : Membership of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Emergency & Critical Care or of an equivalent international body. Management training (formal or informal through CPD) and experience would be advantageous. Experience using RxWorks and Smartflow veterinary software.
