ABOUT THE ROLE Position Reporting to Council’s Manager of Information Services, this leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to guide a skilled, multi‑disciplinary team in delivering innovative, technology‑driven business systems that support Council’s diverse operations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the implementation and management of the Council’s spatial databases and other geospatial‑related systems. A key focus of the role is to contribute to the future direction of Council’s information management systems, while providing expert, high‑level support and strategic advice to users across the organisation. Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated extensive experience. Demonstrated extensive experience in business systems management and analysis, business process review and change management. Demonstrated knowledge of relational database systems and associated reporting tools. Demonstrated data management skills as they apply to complex organisations with multiple disparate data sets. Demonstrated extensive experience and competence in the use and application of the Microsoft suite of products, particularly for the purpose of information extraction and manipulation. Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of integrated enterprise software solutions. Proven understanding of geospatial concepts as used in a government or equivalent environment. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of IT professionals and support staff. Demonstrated experience in managing technology‑based projects. The rewards An annual salary range of $105,100 to $120,600 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
