About the Role Reporting to the Council’s Manager of Information Services, this leadership position will guide a skilled, multi‑disciplinary team in delivering innovative, technology‑driven business systems that support Council’s diverse operations. The role also involves coordinating the implementation and management of the Council’s spatial databases and other geospatial‑related systems. You will provide strategic advice and expert support to users across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead the business systems team in design, implementation, and ongoing delivery of integrated enterprise solutions. Coordinate spatial database strategy and ensure effective use of geospatial data across Council functions. Provide high‑level support and advisory services to business users on information management. Drive continuous improvement of information systems through process analysis and change management. Lead technology‑based projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule objectives. Qualifications Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values: creative, accessible, respectful, energetic, safe. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent proven experience. Extensive experience in business systems management, business process review, and change management. Strong knowledge of relational database systems and reporting tools. Data management skills for complex organisations with multiple disparate data sets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for information extraction and manipulation. Experience delivering and managing integrated enterprise software solutions. Understanding of geospatial concepts applicable to government environments. Demonstrated leadership of IT professionals and support staff. Experience managing technology‑based projects. Benefits Annual salary range of $105,100 to $120,600 per annum (plus 12% superannuation). Flexible work arrangements, including rostered day off and 4‑ or 9‑day week options.
