Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager – Global Role Located in Melbourne or Brisbane. Are you passionate about creating safe, healthy, and supportive workplaces? About the Role The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager will provide comprehensive health, safety, and wellbeing services and support across all global sites on a day-to-day basis. You will ensure adherence to WHS legislation, policies, and procedures through effective implementation and monitoring, offer expert guidance and training, and maintain operational HSW systems, records, and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments across all global sites to identify hazards and implement controls. Maintain and update risk registers and ensure corrective actions are tracked and completed. Support managers and teams in understanding and mitigating operational risks through training and guidance. Manage incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions, ensuring timely resolution and documentation globally. Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions. Maintain incident records and prepare reports for management review. Consultation & Communications Facilitate HSW consultation processes, including safety committees, toolbox talks, and feedback sessions across multiple jurisdictions. Communicate HSW policies, procedures, and updates to all staff globally. Provide clear, practical advice and guidance on HSW matters to employees and managers and deliver compliance education and training programs. Support the management of workplace injuries and illnesses, including reporting, case management, and return-to-work coordination. Liaise with external providers (e.g., EAP, occupational health, rehabilitation consultants) as required. Maintain accurate records of injury and illness cases and monitor trends. Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislation, codes of practice, and company policies across multiple jurisdictions. Maintain HSW documentation, registers, and records in accordance with legal and company requirements. Prepare and submit compliance reports and metrics to management. Support audits and regulatory inspections as required and lead global compliance training initiatives for managers and employees. What We’re Looking For Mandatory: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline. Extensive operational experience (5+ years) in health, safety, and wellbeing roles, ideally in clinical research, healthcare, or similar environments. Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation. Practical experience delivering HSW training, audits, and compliance activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent. Experience with HSW systems and reporting tools. Experience supporting wellbeing programs and initiatives.
