Advisor - Health & Safety

As our Advisor – Health & Safety, you'll play a key role in building safe, healthy, and proactive work environments across multiple parts of the Origin business. You'll partner closely with operational leaders, influence positive safety behaviours, and support both day‑to‑day HSSE activities and longer‑term strategic improvement initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone looking to expand their experience and be involved in meaningful HSSE projects. Responsibilities Develop and support the implementation of health and safety strategies, providing expert guidance on risk management, overseeing incident investigations, and ensuring continuous improvement in HSSE and safety initiatives. Support leaders by providing advice, conducting site visits and safety conversations. Support operational leaders to carry out their obligations through the implementation of Origin’s HSSE Management System. Coach operational leaders on safety conversations and control verification discussions. Guide operational leaders through the incident investigation process, helping them identify root causes and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement through strategic HSSE initiatives and project work. Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across all teams supported by this role. Support the development and implementation of health and safety and management plans relevant to the business unit and provide advice to the business about relevant safety legislation across multiple States of Australia. Qualifications A passion for helping others work safely. Knowledge of WHS legislation and experience in safety practices such as risk assessments, inspections or investigations.
