I'm working with a Federal Government agency to find a Senior Data Architect. This is a 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options and is based in Canberra. Required Skills and Experience Complex, large-scale data cleanse and migration expertise, ideally including ERP transformations. High proficiency in developing data management strategies and technical architectures, particularly for data quality assessment and data cleansing. Proven experience designing end-to-end, scalable and secure data architectures that support varying workloads, including BI, Analytics and regular bulk integrations. Specialist experience in designing auditable data pipelines supporting operational measurement and load assurance. Expert practical experience designing and implementing complex ETL, ELT or hybrid pipelines for mass bulk transfer and high-volume data integration. Mastery of data modelling techniques and persistence layers, specifically designing optimal storage and retrieval solutions for high-concurrency BI/Reporting workloads. Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing data solutions on a major public cloud platform, specifically designing for cost-effective scalability and operational efficiency. BI and analytics integration expertise. Preferred/Desired Experience Experience in configuration of data security settings in a cloud environment, implementing row level data governance. Experience in guiding the business in establishing / uplifting data governance ownership across stakeholders. Experience in designing and implementing solutions utilising modern data lake or lakehouse platforms, including familiarity with associated big data technologies. Understanding of the data consumption requirements of Power BI / Tableau mashup or data preparation engines. Eligibility Requirements Be an Australian citizen. Have a minimum baseline clearance.
