Catering HQ is seeking a Function Operations Supervisor to help run functions and events at this amazing, funky and cool venue Cronulla RSL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our talented and passionate team. THE BRAND Catering HQ is a family‑run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 15 fabulous venues across Sydney and Melbourne. Your primary responsibility is the execution of high‑quality, smooth‑running events which exceed client expectations. Duties & Responsibilities Communicate with co‑workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service. Work with the team to execute a variety of functions and events for our customers. Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items. Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed them. Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event. Assist in reaching business goals and objectives as set out by management. Set up and pack down of function spaces. Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set‑up to pack‑down. Key Qualities Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Excellent supportive and leadership skill set. Exposure to rostering and people development. Have a strong customer service focus. Professional, upbeat and friendly personality. Exceptional attention to detail. Positive and flexible attitude. Highest level of presentation and grooming standards. Fantastic people management skills and professional nature. Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn. Honest and results focused – able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed.
