Board Director Opportunities – Impact Care Solutions Ltd (ICS) Expressions of Interest Now Open About ICS Impact Care Solutions Ltd (ICS) has been delivering high‑quality disability and Out‑of‑Home Care (OoHC) services since 2002. Operating across the Hunter Region and Greater Western Sydney, IC supports children, young people, and adults with complex needs to live safely, independently, and meaningfully in their communities. Whether through NDIS‑supported living or residential and preservation care, IC places clients and participants at the centre of our work—empowering them to achieve their goals and thrive in safe, supportive environments. Our Commitment to Child Safety ICS is a child‑safe organisation, fully committed to upholding the NSW Child Safe Standards and embedding a culture where the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is paramount. We maintain robust governance systems to prevent, identify, and respond to risk, meeting obligations under the NSW Reportable Conduct Scheme and Children’s Guardian Act 2019. The Opportunity ICS invites expressions of interest from professionals passionate about social impact, equity, and governance. As a Board Director, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic direction, accountability, and the child safety culture of IC. Time Commitment and Remuneration This is a voluntary, non‑remunerated position. Board Directors are expected to: Attend 6–8 online Board meetings per year Participate in subcommittees or working groups as required Undertake annual governance and child safety development activities Key Selection Criteria Candidates should demonstrate: Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and ethical leadership Commitment to child safety and the rights of people with disability Capacity for strategic oversight, quality assurance, and risk management Willingness to promote a safe, inclusive, and accountable culture at Board level Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Out‑of‑Home Care, child protection, or youth services Disability services, NDIS, or psychosocial support Clinical governance, legal, or regulatory compliance Public policy, advocacy, or government relations Finance, risk, or audit Media, communications, or stakeholder engagement Community sector or not‑for‑profit governance Diversity and Inclusion We strongly encourage applications from: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples People with lived experience of disability or care Culturally and linguistically diverse communities LGBTQIA+ individuals How to Apply A one‑page cover letter outlining relevant competencies and motivation to support the mission of IC A current CV All Board Directors must hold, or be willing to obtain before appointment: A current NSW Working With Children Check A National Police Check Satisfactory reference and identity checks Your application will include the following questions: How many years’ experience do you have as a Board Member?
