This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026. Mount Magnet is a small, desert township with a rich mining and agricultural history, located 565 km north‑east of Perth on the Great Northern Highway. The Role The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated, and skilled educator who is committed to using evidence‑based instructional strategies for every child, every day. The successful applicant will ideally have knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and care about the social and emotional wellbeing of children. Your classroom management skills will extend to anticipating and pre‑empting situations with application of your strong classroom management skills. Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3‑year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school. Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial. Find out if you are eligible To work with us, you must hold an eligible licence.
