Job title - Key Worker Location - O'Halloran Hill Employment Type - Full time or Part time (4 days per week) About Everyday Independence With over 40 hubs across Australia, Everyday Independence is a dynamic allied health organisation committed to changing the game for people with disabilities. Working in the social model, our united team of talented change‑makers is on a mission to make inclusion possible for all Australians. About the Role We are looking for Key Workers to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0–8) and their families that lead to positive, life‑changing outcomes. Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants. Key Responsibilities Working in the social model means you’ll work and deliver therapy in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds and community centres. Attended a family’s home to conduct their initial appointment, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child and goals. Worked collaboratively with a kinder teacher at a preschool to support a child to develop their motor skills. Coached parents through finding a school that best suits their young child’s needs. Worked collaboratively with a Speech Pathologist and family members to support a child to develop their communication and social skills. Built meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends). Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management system. Provided support for a 5‑year‑old after school so they can establish consistent routines. Attended the weekly team meeting in the hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs. Met with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and support. Dropped into an online mentoring session to build knowledge of using Assistive Technology with a participant and learning behavioral support strategies. Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary qualification and registration: Occupational Therapist: degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration. Physiotherapist: degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration. Speech Pathologist: degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration. Educator: Bachelor or Master’s in Early Childhood Teaching or Special Education. Social Worker: Bachelor or Master’s in Social Work and eligible for AASW membership. Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0–8) and their families. Demonstrated experience working with children with disability. A positive and flexible approach to work. Strong communication skills and a team player. Commitment to personal and professional growth. A valid Australian driver’s licence. NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check. Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments. What We Offer Continuous Learning: Guidance and support provided by industry‑leading early childhood clinicians and allied health practitioners. Competitive Salary Package: Attractive remuneration plus vehicle options, laptop, phone, and performance and loyalty bonuses. Flexible Working Options: Enjoy calendar control and create a week that works for you. Opportunities for Growth: Explore clinical mentoring/education or operational leadership pathways. Supportive Environment: Dedicated operational, clinical and admin support to help you focus on what you do best. Everyday Perks: Pet‑friendly hubs, in‑house career coaching, professional development budget, wellbeing days, paid parental leave, regular social events and access to confidential counseling through our Employee Assistance Program. Join the Change‑Makers At Everyday Independence, your expertise in early childhood intervention isn’t just valued; it’s crucial in driving positive change for children with disabilities and their families.
