This role is perfect for individuals studying cookery courses who want hands-on experience in a supportive and rewarding setting. Role responsibilities As an integral part of our aged care facility, the Kitchen assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by preparing and delivering nutritious meals in a professional and efficient manner. Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, as instructed by the Head Chef. Crafting well-balanced and nutritious meals is at the heart of what we do for our residents. Excellent safety awareness, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in food preparation and serving areas to meet regulatory standards. Bring your genuine care and compassion to meal times, making each dining experience unforgettable and enjoyable for our elderly residents. Prior experience in preparing and delivering meals in a commercial environment. Must have the industry compliance of NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or ability to apply for one (this is at your own cost and can take up to a week only to obtain but is a 5-year valid card).
