Build your career at Iress The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial planning modeling tools used by financial advisers to provide taxation, asset, retirement and cash flow calculations and projections for all entity types to their end clients through the advice process. Some of the amazing things you'll be involved in : Analysis, solution design, creation and maintenance of financial modeling tools and calculators Complete works on time and with high standards and accuracy Ensure work is accurate and efficient using existing or improved procedures Technical review and testing of team member's development as part of peer review Building automated tests for the modeling tools to ensure ongoing quality Plan and prioritise work in accordance with product strategy and business priorities Robust requirements gathering from product team, clients, prospects and market research as well as documenting specifications Working with international stakeholders outside of regular business hour Any other business priorities that are being directed by your line manager What you will bring : Previous experience working as an Actuarial or Quantitative Analyst A minimum bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science Prior experience in Quantitative and Financial modeling Advanced skills of Microsoft Excel using input fields, data, projections. and macros Any programming language experience desirable Demonstrable knowledge of financial planning and the financial advice industry (Diploma in Financial Planning highly regarded) Affinity for computer based work and PC skills and demonstrable capability in financial modeling (experience with SAS, SQL, R Language, Python, and C software and systems is desirable) Strong problem solving ability A genuine interest in the financial advice industry and software Self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment 8 additional paid days per year to extend your weekends Hybrid working Generous cash bonus for every successful referral Starting school leave - 8.5 days of leave to assist your children with the transition to school Up to 26 weeks' paid parental leave for primary carers (up to 4 weeks for secondary carers), and the ability to work part-time when returning to work 3 days' paid leave per year to participate in charity initiatives Discounted health insurance premiums Access to learning and development programs through LinkedIn Learning Iress is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture.
