You will help nursing staff in hospitals and other health care establishments with non-medical duties including housekeeping, portering patients and general assistance. This varied and interesting role may include transferring patients within the hospital, linen maintenance & medical supply restocking, cooking and/or preparing light refreshments for patients, general cleaning as required including rooms and equipment and assisting generally as directed by nursing staff. You will need to be reliable, punctual and energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude and use your good communication skills to be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Remaining calm in emergencies and the capability to handle equipment such as wheelchairs, beds and other medical equipment is also valued. Hours The hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30. Team and Training The team is only small & everyone is easy to get along with & happy to help others when asked. The successful applicant will work closely with other cleaning staff & build to working independently when comfortable in the position.
