About the role We are seeking an Intermediate Consultant to join our Business and Private Client Advisory division. You will be an integral part of a team that has long‑standing tenure with the firm, prides itself on effective communication and an approachable manner. Key Responsibilities Prepare individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns, including Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements. Process and manage Tax Office correspondence (e.g., Assessments, Instalments and PAYG Tax variations). Prepare the complete set of financial accounts for all entities. Prepare and analyse standard management reports for clients (e.g., cash‑flow reports, budgets). Prepare workpapers to a quality standard as set by the Division. Provide feedback, guidance and support to junior team members, which can involve acting as a buddy. Prepare budgets and bills for services rendered. Prepare financial statements for Charitable Foundations. Other duties as required by the firm such as training, attendance at career fairs, committee membership, marketing and special projects. Key Skills and Experience 2‑3 years’ experience in a business services environment in a Chartered/CPA accounting practice. Exposure to tax issues and financial planning. Degree qualified and have commenced CA/CPA studies. Good knowledge of latest taxation law and accounting developments. Ability to provide support to junior members of staff. Aptitude to identify any issues for discussion with the appropriate manager. Good time‑management skills, and ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines for a large group of clients. Present professionally and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working with APS, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and competent with Microsoft Excel and Word.
