Early Childhood Teacher

Orange and District Early Education Program – Orange NSW ODEEP is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our multi-disciplinary team. This position can be either full or part-time for the right candidate. About ODEEP ODEEP is a well-established, not-for-profit, community-based Early Childhood Intervention Service and a registered NDIS provider, supporting children and young people with disabilities and developmental delays, and their families, across Orange and surrounding regions. About the Role You will deliver high-quality early childhood intervention services, focusing on inclusion, capacity building, and functional skill development. Your work will support children and families in line with best practice, ODEEP’s child safe and family-centred policies, and the latest evidence-based guidelines. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Teaching. NESA accreditation Experience working in an early childhood or school setting. Demonstrated understanding of family-centred practice. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Experience supporting children and/or young people with disabilities and/or developmental delays in inclusive environments (early childhood education, care settings, or schools). Ability to work effectively as part of a team. High level of organisational and time management skills. Current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain). Experience or knowledge in any of the following will be highly regarded: Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education. Experience with providing capacity building support to early childhood settings. Experience as a Key Worker in a transdisciplinary team. Experience working with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Experience working with Aboriginal or CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) families. Skills in play-based assessment techniques and reporting. Experience developing and implementing Individual Education Plans for children with complex needs. Experience developing and implementing transition plans. Experience working with school-aged children. Experience working within an NDIS framework.
