Eligibility Open to Everyone We are inviting applications for multiple Senior Financial Accountants to join the Financial Accounting team within Department of Treasury & Finance. The vacancies are being offered for a period up to 24 months and are available across various sites including Adelaide CBD and Port Adelaide. In this role, you will : Prepare general and special purpose financial statements, including audit liaison. Manage reconciliations, general ledger, fixed asset and other accounting services. Provide expert financial advice, compliance support, and contribute to improvement projects. Foster a positive team culture and provide guidance to staff in delivering effective accounting and financial services. Ensure services meet legislative, performance, and accounting standards. About You We are looking for a skilled and motivated financial professional with a strong track record in delivering high-quality accounting services and leading teams in complex environments. You will thrive here if you have : A Degree in accounting, finance, economics (or equivalent) and eligibility for membership to a professional accounting body. (Desirable) Extensive experience in preparing Tier 1 financial statements, managing complex reconciliations and reporting functions. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement. A collaborative mindset and ability to lead and inspire teams. Advanced analytical skills and a knack for solving complex financial problems. Proven ability in driving financial management and reporting process. Experience using financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Masterpiece) and Excel for modelling and reporting.
