About the Role We are seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to join our growing team in Perth. Reporting to the Director, Cyber Advisory, this is a senior technical position responsible for designing and governing enterprise and defence‑grade security architectures for one of our key clients. You will play a central role in shaping secure, scalable, and resilient solutions with a strong focus on Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA), cloud and network security, and embedding security within business and technology operations. This position blends strategy, design, and hands‑on delivery. You'll work closely with stakeholders across IT, risk, and business teams to develop architectures that align with business goals, compliance frameworks, and best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and implement enterprise‑wide security transformation strategies grounded in Zero Trust Architecture principles. Architect scalable, secure solutions across cloud, network and hybrid environments. Collaborate with IT, Risk and Cyber teams to embed security into technology and business operations. Advise senior stakeholders on security risks, mitigation strategies and emerging technologies. Ensure cloud security and data protection through Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, AWS and related tools. Align designs with leading frameworks including E8, PSPF, NIST, ISO ***** and ASD ISM. Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments and control evaluations to identify and address gaps. Lead and contribute to incident response, architecture reviews and security design documentation. What You Bring 8–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 in architecture or design roles. Proven expertise in developing and delivering Zero Trust Architectures. Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra, Azure, and hybrid cloud security technologies. Experience with endpoint protection, SIEM/SOAR, identity management and cloud security tools. Deep knowledge of enterprise networks, encryption, identity and application security. The ability to lead complex transformation projects and communicate clearly with both executives and engineers. Qualifications and Clearances Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert are highly regarded. Knowledge of Microsoft security and cloud technologies (Entra ID, Purview, Defender Suite, Sentinel). Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud security models. Experience applying frameworks such as E8, PSPF, NIST CSF, ISO *****, and ASD ISM. Australian Citizenship and eligibility for NV1 Security Clearance (or existing clearance).
