Full Job Description    The State Manager is responsible for leading the Facilities Department in NSW, ensuring effective delivery of operations and adherence to all Property Management Agreement and Facilities Management (FM) obligations across the state.
This role focuses on implementing National Facilities Management functions to foster a safe, sustainable, and innovative environment, driving a competitive advantage within the state portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for someone in the capacity of a Senior Facilities Manager who is managing a team to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:    The main focus of this role is to drive best practices across Facilities Management services, encompassing team leadership, OH&S/WHS compliance, risk management, building compliance, contractor oversight, procurement, information management, reporting, tenant relationship development, and fostering inter-departmental collaboration.
Ensure effective ESG implementation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in Facilities Management operations.
Oversee portfolio allocation, state-specific tasks, and ongoing performance monitoring of the FM team.
Coordinate with service providers for FM team training and identify career development opportunities through the National Management team.
Review property budgets as needed and assist with CAPEX budgeting.
Continuously review systems and processes for service delivery efficiency, reporting findings to the National Manager.
Develop, implement, and continuously monitor operational improvement initiatives.
Attend industry workshops and seminars to stay updated on innovations, standards, and sustainability trends.
Actively participate in regular state management and leadership team meetings.
Oversee new property acquisitions and onboarding within the state.
Manage contractor relationships and procurement in collaboration with Property Services.
Implement and oversee state-wide risk management processes.
Support major CAPEX projects managed by the Development Team, including coordinating DLP progression and the handover process to the Facilities Team.
Foster collaboration between FM and Property Managers to ensure consistent service delivery aligned with the facilities management framework.
Qualifications: Well-versed in ESG, Procurement, and Team Management.
Experience managing a diverse portfolio of assets.
Must be an 'outside of the box' thinker.
Diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Construction, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in facilities management and maintenance services.
Additional qualifications in NABERS accreditation, Green Star, project management, or similar areas are highly desirable.
