Job Opportunity We have an excellent opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join Power Systems Australia based out our head office in Laverton North. The successful candidate will be involved in completing after-sales support servicing for our client's diesel generators. This will include carrying out service and warranty jobs and repairing jobs in the workshop when necessary. About Us Power Systems Australia was initially established in March 2006, providing generators to the oil, gas, mining, building, agriculture, solar and many other industries. As a leading supplier and manufacturer of generators in Australia, you can rely on Power Systems Australia to provide a wide range of new and ex-rental generators. We offer some of the biggest brands such as AKSA, Cummins, Perkins, and Mitsubishi; we also manufacture customised and engineered Gensets to our customer's requirements. Key Responsibilities Experience troubleshooting, diagnose, repair and maintenance of generators. You will enjoy troubleshooting mechanical and electrical engine faults and be part of a team conducting scheduled maintenance and engine overhauls. Pride in completing jobs right the first time to the highest standard. Willing and available to travel and engage in field service duties when required. Experience with computer-based diagnostic programs will be highly regarded. Be capable of working without supervision. Self-motivated and able to become an active part of a great team of people. You will be required to join the other mechanics on the rotating roster to be on call. Requirements Possess Appropriate Trade qualifications. ( Diesel Mechanic) Experience in power generator or previous rental fleet maintenance preferred but not essential. Able to complete service documentation as per customer requirements, maintenance reports. Be flexible in attending breakdowns, on-site, repairs and fieldwork as required. Experience working on Cummins, Perkins, John Deere, and Mitsubishi products are preferable. Customer service orientated. Current unrestricted driver's license (HRadvantageous) Current Truck licence and Forklift License desirable White Card is a must Will supply training to the right candidate based on client requirements. Additional skills like metal fabrication, welding etc, would be a plus. An excellent working environment with a close-knit team. The position offers variety and challenge. Positive thinkers, only This is a permanent position. You must have a team attitude and be able to work unsupervised.
