Job Description The opportunity is a newly created role for an Environmental & Cultural Support Officer to join the site team. You will be responsible for the following: Monitoring key environmental parameters to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and environmental agreements. Coordinating and scheduling environmental inspections and monitoring around the site to ensure compliance with environmental obligations. Supporting site‑wide environmental awareness campaigns and contributing to the delivery of staff training initiatives. Assisting in the preparation of environmental reports and other regulatory documentation. Applying established procedures, developing innovative solutions, and leading small projects to improve environmental outcomes. Building relationships with key stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records and analysing metrics and reports to support compliance with the site Environment compliance requirements. Assisting with environmental audits to ensure statutory and legislative compliance is met in regard to the Environment Management System. Assisting with Social Governance activities and community interactions where necessary. Contributing to the development and ongoing maintenance of systems that support cultural engagement and compliance with relevant standards. Building and maintaining strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owner groups and other cultural support roles across Stanmore. Developing and sustaining positive engagement with First Nations employees and contractors across the site. Supporting initiatives focused on the recruitment, work‑readiness, retention, inclusion, and development of First Nations people to ensure successful integration into the workforce. Assisting with the delivery of cultural awareness training and promoting cultural education across the site. Consistently demonstrating safe work practices and complying with all HSE policies and procedures. Promoting awareness of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices to help foster a strong safety culture. Reporting all HSE incidents in a timely and accurate manner. Key Site Based Relationships Reporting to: Principal Environment & Community Supported by: Senior Environmental Advisor Qualifications Experience in environmental systems (desirable). Experience with water testing (desirable or willing to obtain). Collaborative and innovative individual who executes continuous improvement initiatives. Experienced diary/calendar management. Strong support and / or customer focus in previous roles. Experience in mining or industrial environments (not essential). Willingness to learn and grow within the role. Strong planning, prioritisation, and problem‑solving abilities. Demonstrated experience supporting Indigenous engagement and / or working with First Nation groups. Knowledge and experience in managing cultural relationships and engagement processes. Understanding of cultural awareness training and education requirements. Effective facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
