Overview As the Associate HV Infrastructure Director (APAC) you will report to the Senior Director, Utilities Infrastructure and collaborate with Development, Technology and Operations teams to shape the delivery of high‑voltage power systems across our region. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute HV system delivery strategies, acting as a strategic leader and problem‑solver. Align processes with business goals and priorities and engage stakeholders to ensure strategy delivery. Champion customer‑centric engineering solutions across the business. Resolve diverse problems to maintain customer and delivery focus. Develop and motivate a high‑performing team. Implement utilities strategies to ensure effective HV system delivery across the Asia‑Pacific Region. Ensure the highest safety and quality across all projects and integrate HV system delivery with whole‑of‑Data Centre delivery. Oversee tender and vendor onboarding processes. Analyse current and past HV delivery performance to contribute to continuous improvement. Drive efficiency in delivery, embed lessons learned, and improve HV infrastructure effectiveness. Manage and develop key relationships at all levels with utilities, regulators, consultants, vendors and contractors. Negotiate at a deep technical level with authorities and utilities to achieve best project outcomes. Work broadly across the business to ensure alignment of the utilities program with the rest of the business. Improve regular project reporting to senior management, including safety, quality, time, costs, progress, authorities and risk. Set and manage KPI and SLA for vendors. Develop and improve AirTrunk’s HV on‑site networks to be safe and efficient, meeting and exceeding local code requirements and industry best practice. Oversee and improve policy and practice in the development and management of the HV network design on new and existing AirTrunk networks, including primary, secondary, SCADA, earthing and DC systems. Travel to projects and sites as required. Qualifications 10+ years HV design, delivery and operations experience. 10+ years experience on highly integrated large‑scale projects. Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Strong and effective communicator capable of confidently negotiating with internal and external stakeholders on a professional and senior level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence up to the executive level internally and with external stakeholders. Managed and mentored high‑performing teams for minimum 7 years. Well‑organised and effective manager who manages workload and meets deadlines. Minimum 10 years broad high voltage experience in design, delivery and operations with a utility, electrical consultant or contractor. Strong technical knowledge of HV systems and assets including GIS, AIS, switchgear, transformers, protection relays and DC systems. In‑depth knowledge of secondary control systems including protection & SCADA systems. Experience working with authorities, utilities and energy regulators. Ability to work across multiple teams and manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, task prioritisation, problem solving, risk and time management deliverables. Experience working across the Asia‑Pacific region. Resilient and proactive with the ability to work at pace in an evolving and demanding environment. Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen. Available to travel throughout Asia‑Pacific. Preferred Requirements Electrical trade background with knowledge and experience of high reliability HV and LV power systems including all components. Strong analytical, commercial and problem‑solving skills to review supply agreements and oversee and improve procurement and delivery efforts. Tertiary qualifications in business. Commercial and profit and loss responsibility and ability to analyse cost benefit when considering development strategies. Previous experience working in Asia‑Pacific including Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
