Warehouse and logistics Supervisor

We provide our customers with engineered and highly reliable systems for Post‑Tensioning, Geotechnical Applications, Mining, Monitoring, and Concrete Accessories. We now have an opportunity available for a Warehouse and logistics Supervisor to join our team, based at our head Asia Pacific office in Cardiff and our yard Wallsend in Newcastle. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting directly to the Operations Coordinator, the successful applicant will play a key role in leading our existing warehouse and logistics team. As an experienced and eager individual, you will be responsible for overseeing a team, managing all goods movements in the DYWIDAG facility, ensuring effective and efficient processes which streamline the supporting administrative functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Liaising with sales, production and supply chain teams to understand customer and production demand. Coordinating and leading the warehouse team. Ensuring the efficient movement of incoming and outgoing goods to meet customer demands. Assist in managing the yard layout to allow quick and accurate job identification, receivables laydown space and loading and unloading of materials in an efficient manner. Evaluating delivery deadlines including following up behind schedule deliveries by liaising with the supply chain. Undertaking reporting of stock inventory as directed by the Operations Coordinator. Working closely with dispatch officer to ensure correct goods are packed and completed to meet required shipment date. Organise and categories product in warehouse for efficient and effective operations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to deliver warehouse improvements. Coordinate regular cycle counting of inventory. Providing coverage for dispatch officer when required. Managing our off site yard in Wallsend, to store goods efficiently and receive and send goods from that location. This is a hands‑on role where you will be required to be highly organised, motivated and have a ‘can do’ attitude. Being the warehouse ‘go to’ person, you will have exceptional teamwork and communication skills and the ability to collaborate and problem‑solve with management and employees. Computer work with an ERP stock management system experience is required. This is a permanent Full‑Time opportunity with an immediate start for the right candidate. ABOUT YOU With demonstrated experience working in a fast‑paced logistics environment, you will possess: Experience with, warehousing, planning, organising, prioritising, and co‑ordinating supply chain tasks in a dynamic environment, ensuring customer demands are met. A high level of customer service and communication skills (written and verbal) to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to lead and motivate employees in a cohesive work environment. Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously for the completion of planning and administration. Competence preferably with Microsoft Dynamics “NAVISION” or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (like SAP).
