Job Description What Aurora Dairies can offer you Aurora Dairies are currently seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for a dairy farm in Denison, located between Traralgon and Sale in the Southern Gippsland region of Victoria. Barnett Farm is approximately 150ha in total with 60ha under centre pivot irrigation and 90ha under flood irrigation. Currently milking 800 cows through a 50‑bail rotary shed with ACR’s, auto teat spray and concrete feed pad, and is predominantly pasture based with grain fed in the dairy. This farm is 50% Spring and 50% Autumn calving starting in August and February. There is accommodation available and there could be opportunities for employment for your partner on one of our nearby farms, if required. This role will include tasks the areas of: Supporting the farm manager as second in charge. Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures. Herd management and nutrition, including calving, hospital herd care, AI/mating planning, dairy shed work and more. Irrigation and pasture management. Supervising staff. Machinery operation. Repairs and maintenance. Qualifications The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are: Extensive dairy industry experience is required for this management role. Tertiary qualification(s) in Agriculture or a related field is desired. Committed to ensuring a safe workplace. Reliable and punctual and ability to take responsibility.
