Farm Operations Manager

A progressive family-owned farming operation near Esperance in southern Western Australia has a position available for an experienced Farm Operations Manager to join their expanding business. The farm produces cereals and oilseeds at two locations and commits to progressive farming and working structures that promote work life balance and flexibility over the annual cycle. This is a practical leadership role where you will both coordinate the farm team and work alongside them, including regular operation of large Ag machinery during peak periods. Duties include end-to-end cropping operating modern GPS Ag machinery, mechanical and workshop and general farm maintenance in newly established facilities. The Farm Operations Manager role provides leadership and coordinates all farm operations to ensure tasks and priorities are effectively and safely delivered on time and within budget in a manner that maintains standards and incorporates objectives to promote the scalable growth of the business. DUTIES INCLUDE Translating strategic goals into operational systems, plans and budgets Leading, coordinating and working with the farm team to ensure effective, timely and safe delivery of all operational activities Managing farm projects Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring WHS compliance and improvements Driving continuous farm and procedural improvements Overseeing farm team training, compliance and performance Supervising the team, fostering harmony, delegating daily duties, and allocating resources effectively Maintaining operational readiness of farm plant, machinery and infrastructure Researching, evaluating and implementing new technologies that improve efficiency and scalability Reporting operational progress to the owners Capable, organised Farm Operations Managers demonstrating a minimum of 3 years' similar experience in a professional broadacre farming environment who wish to join a growing farming business interested in their goals and aspirations, are encouraged to apply.
