Integral role to deliver data driven solutions to our Institutional clients
Sydney CBD based opportunity
Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for leading the Group's relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The division also performs a meaningful internal role for the Group by providing equities, markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business divisions that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.

Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC), leads banking relationship management and the provision of transaction banking, risk management and capital solutions to our clients. The team's purpose is to provide IB&M clients with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives.
GIBC operates in three industry eco-systems: Institutional, Corporate and Natural Resources and Carbon. Transaction banking supports the coverage ecosystems through the distribution of transaction banking and analytical insights.
Do Work That Matters
As a Director you will work closely with a combination of internal stakeholder and external customers to deliver strategic outcomes for business. The core objective is to grow our commercial analytics proposition across IB&M. Internally, core stakeholders include Relationship Executives from across Coverage, TBS, Private Equity and CommBankiQ to originate opportunities with IB&M clients by demonstrating the value of the CBA's data analytics proposition and act as a conduit to our delivery partners in CommBank iQ. Externally, you will be focused on various contact points within a client's organisation (e.g. marketing departments, Analytics teams etc).
The core responsibilities of the role include providing ongoing engagement/education to IB&M frontline teams to identify and pursue new opportunities with their clients, as well as ensuring the CommBank iQ account management and technical teams are executing what has been promised.
With a broad and varied group of internal and external stakeholders (IB&M clients, GIBC colleagues and CommBank iQ teams) this role requires a highly motivated professional with proven business development and skills to;
Play a key role in managing senior stakeholders and strategy formulation associated with business objectives across CommBankiQ and GIBC
Respond to and influence IB&M clients by using industry and market knowledge to identify strategic target market opportunities;
Identify, create and cultivate Data and Analytics sales and consulting opportunities, working closely with our Data Partners and directly with customers to utilise deep expertise and an understanding of target customer needs to develop and deliver a successful customer engagement strategy;
Manage all aspects of the sales pipeline to ensure sales targets, and client expectation are met
Support strategy efforts ensuring our Data Partners deliver customer centric and commercial, consulting and product solutions meeting the client goals
Contribute to develop and drive the effective and efficient delivery of appropriate performance and client success outcomes for the both GIBC and CommBankiQ (for e.g. Revenue; Net Promotor Score; etc.)

This hands-on role requires a highly motivated self-starter with proven business development or relationship management experience - ideally in the Institutional or Business Banking space. You'll also have a well-established risk mind-set and a real desire to help clients problem-solve. Further, knowledge of CBA systems and exposure to IB&M clients would be advantageous.
