Technical/Engineering Allrounder (Water Instrumentation / Process Control)

Overview

With an established Head office in Sydney for over 20 years and branch offices in Melbourne and Brisbane, we are looking for an experienced Technical/Engineering Allrounder to support our internal team and our client base nationally. The role is extremely varied, from Technical Support, System Implementation, Engineering, Project Management to Production QA and Repairs. This role has the scope to grow into a National Technical Manager role where you would assume full responsibility for managing all technical aspects of our organisation. You will report directly to the Directors. Some work-from-home days permissible.Responsibilities and Duties

Includes, but not limited to:Managing all the Technical and Engineering activities and issues relating to the production, sales and support of electronic controllers, water treatment control systems & chemical dosing pumpsProviding Technical Support internally and to our current and prospective customers.Designing basic water treatment control systems, P&IDs and provide quotationsDocumenting Production and Testing ProceduresRepairs/Calibrations in-house and on site when requiredManaging Warranty Claims and product returnsEquipment Routine Maintenance and Electronic Product RepairsMaintenance of WHS and Quality Procedures and PoliciesTesting and Quality Control of Manufactured Products in ProductionTechnical Liaison with Local and Overseas SuppliersCreation and Maintenance of Application Notes, Data Sheets and Product User ManualsTesting and Evaluation of Production PrototypesManaging Beta product field trialsManage WorkshopManaging future junior technical employees

Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation or Process Control Engineering, Control Systems and/or Water Treatment InstrumentationAn extensive and proven track record in in an engineering role in the water treatment, chemical pumps and/or electrical/electronic industries.Experience and technical knowledge of water treatment control systems, instrumentation and/or chemical dosing pumpsAs a team player, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills, technical know-how and critical thinking skillsProficiency in MSWord, Excel, e-mail and CRM type databasesExposure to P&ID, CAD and/or 3D modelling softwareHighly motivated and results drivenHave a willingness to occasionally get “hands dirty” to assist clientsHold a valid and full driving licenseBe an Australian resident
