We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Services Director (CSD) to join our senior leadership team, Te Kāhui Manukura, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of hospice care in our region. This position is based in Nelson, New Zealand, and requires candidates to either reside locally or be willing to relocate. What you’ll do Lead and inspire an interdisciplinary clinical team—allied health, nursing, and healthcare assistants—ensuring seamless, person-centred care. Drive clinical excellence through robust governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Champion equity and inclusion, embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and ensuring access for Māori, Pacific peoples, Disability Community and other underserved communities. Foster innovation and research, advancing best practice in palliative and end-of-life care. Create a culture of wellbeing, resilience, and professional growth for your team. What we’re looking for A proven senior leader with extensive experience in health services management and a strong clinical background (Allied Health or Nursing qualification essential, post‑graduate qualification desirable). Expertise in clinical governance, quality systems, and workforce development. A strategic thinker who can influence, innovate, and lead change in a complex health environment. Commitment to equity, cultural safety, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong partnerships across sectors.
