Deliver high-quality medical education to the next generation of health professionals Student-centred education in foundational medical sciences Full time ongoing role based in Launceston About the opportunity We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Sciences within the Tasmanian School of Medicine. This position will focus on the delivery of high-quality medical education including teaching foundational medical sciences across a variety of disciplines and using online and on-campus learning modalities. This role supports the supply of a skilled medical workforce to Tasmania and is part of the expansion of the Medicine Program commencing in Launceston in 2026. What you’ll do Undertake high quality and scholarly undergraduate teaching across the medical sciences. Mentor and support students both at an individual and peer group level. Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links. Seek out and engage in opportunities to continuously improve academic learning and teaching skills. Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities. What we’re looking for Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant Medical Sciences discipline. Experience in undergraduate University-level teaching and learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with staff, students and external organisations. High-level organisational skills including experience adhering to safe operating procedures. Salary details Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,885 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $133,235 plus 17% superannuation.
