Senior Research Services Project Officer Join to apply for the Senior Research Services Project Officer role at Natural Hazards Research Australia. Overview Based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, flexible hybrid working conditions. Salary – $95,000 – $99,000 plus superannuation. Applications close. Responsibilities Support the efficient development, implementation, and management of research projects in the Centre. Support the research, translation and implementation elements for each project and play a role in ensuring that outputs meet the needs of project end-users. Maintain and update research products and systems, create concise and accurate reports and dashboards. Plan and organise work efficiently, operate effectively in an environment characterised by short and often conflicting time frames. Implement contract management and grant processes including drafting, negotiation and finalisation of research agreements. Mentor staff and work in a team environment. Qualifications Tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to liaise effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Strong skills and experience in project management, ability to plan and organise work efficiently. Experience in implementing contract management and grant processes, drafting, negotiation, finalisation of research agreements. Advanced writing skills, ability to undertake projects independently, liaising with external stakeholders as necessary and meeting deadlines. Advanced conceptual and analytical skills, including identifying issues, managing data and developing appropriate solutions. Experience and sound skills in using software packages to support reporting, project management and customer relationship functions. Highly developed skills in MS Office and other related programs. Desirable: Research administration experience, knowledge of university and research organisation workings, knowledge of government departments and agencies, understanding of intellectual property management.
