Join to apply for the Research Officer role at Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) Role Type: 12-month Part Time (30.4 hours per week) Salary: $109,334 - $117,360 p.a plus super (pro rata) We are seeking a Research Officer to support the delivery of QI and evaluation activities, working in a small team with the project lead and a Senior Research Officer/Research Fellow. The Opportunity The Victorian Centre of Health Leadership for Children in Care (VCHLCC), in partnership with the Pathway to Good Health (PTGH) program, is conducting a project to strengthen healthcare delivery for children living in out-of-home care. This work includes evaluating VCHLCC initiatives that support clinicians working across Victoria and supporting Quality Improvement (QI) activities—such as audits and PDSA cycles—within the PTGH clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. The Research Officer will join a small, supportive, and highly collaborative team working together to drive meaningful QI and evaluation initiatives that improve health outcomes for vulnerable children. We offer hybrid work arrangements with up to 50% remote work available to support flexibility and balance. Please note that on-site attendance at the Melbourne Children’s Campus on Thursdays is essential to support QI activities within the PTGH clinic. What You’ll Do Support the design of evaluation and QI activities including ethics/governance approvals Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources Conduct audits and PDSA Quality Improvement cycles within the Pathway to Good Health clinical team (which may include direct observation within clinic) Contribute to the write-up of the evaluation and QI activities for different stakeholders/audiences.
