Aventus Immigration Lawyers Pty Ltd – Brendale QLD Aventus Immigration Lawyers is a specialist Brisbane-based law firm providing professional, ethical, and client-focused legal services across all areas of Australian immigration law , including complex visa matters, cancellations, refusals, AAT reviews, and ministerial interventions. We are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk (open to law graduates or current law students ) to join our growing team. This role offers hands‑on exposure to legal practice and a structured opportunity to develop practical skills under the direct mentorship of the Principal Solicitor. About the Role This is a diverse position combining legal and administrative support. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, management, and lodgement of immigration matters while gaining meaningful experience in client-facing work and procedural aspects of legal practice. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing visa and tribunal applications and supporting documents Draft letters, forms, and submissions under supervision Conduct legal and policy research on migration and administrative law issues Manage client files and maintain compliance with legal practice standards Liaise with clients, counsel, and government agencies (including the Department of Home Affairs) Support day-to-day practice operations, including document handling, filing, and workflow coordination About You We are looking for someone who is: A law graduate , final‑year law student , or early‑stage law student with strong academic performance Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Strong in written and verbal communication Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Confident using Microsoft Office; prior experience with LEAP or similar software is an advantage Professional, ethical, and genuinely interested in immigration or administrative law What We Offer Direct mentorship from an experienced Principal Solicitor Exposure to diverse and complex immigration law matters Supportive and collaborative working environmentFlexible hours to accommodate study or other commitments Career development opportunities for the right candidate #J-18808-Ljbffr
