Overview City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for a Contracts Specialist who brings energy, expertise and a sharp eye for detail to a role that is all about impact. As the Contracts Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders to provide specialised advice on tendering, procurement and contract management. A key focus of your role will be to ensure our teams meet their legislative obligations while minimising commercial risk and maximising performance. Drive real change by improving probity and governance across procurement processes, achieving higher standards, better value and stronger outcomes. Embed best practices, elevate decision‑making and deliver contracts that truly perform. Qualifications You must have the right to live and work in Australia. Benefits 35‑hour working week with flexible/hybrid work arrangements and an optional 9‑day fortnight. 4 weeks of annual leave, 3 weeks of personal leave, plus 2 additional paid public holidays. 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment.
