UMG is currently seeking an eager and exceptional individual to join our Infrastructure Team as the primary Infrastructure Architect. The role works with engineering, implementation, and operations teams as well as business partners to drive strategy, architecture, standards, and designs for UMG’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it supports business goals and operations. The architect is responsible for creating and maintaining the foundational technology systems, including networks, servers, storage, and A/V environments, with a focus on strategic planning, technical design, scalability security and efficiency. Job Functions Infrastructure Design and Planning: Creating blueprints and roadmaps for the organization’s IT infrastructure. System Integration: Ensuring new and existing systems work together seamlessly and efficiently. Standards: Defining and documenting standards for IT infrastructure. Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and ensuring the infrastructure adheres to relevant regulations. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Tracking system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and implementing plans to ensure operations can continue in the event of a disaster. Collaboration and Communication: Working with IT, business units, and vendors to align infrastructure with business objectives. Automation: Driving automation of processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Other tasks as deemed necessary or appropriate. Job Requirements Skills/Abilities Strong technical expertise in networking, servers, storage, and A/V technologies. Strategic thinking: Ability to develop long‑term infrastructure plans and align them with business goals. Problem‑solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Communication skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Fluent in English (written and oral). Experience 10+ years overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in network design, 2 years in compute and storage design, and 1 year in A/V design. 4+ years experience designing and delivering customer‑facing presentations. 2+ years experience with architecture and strategic planning. 2+ years experience with infrastructure automation. Experience running large‑scale Proof of Concept/Proof of Value evaluations. Experience running cost/benefit analysis of solutions.
